• The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture (MoFA) was set up by an Executive Instrument (EI) 28, 2017 to formulate appropriate policies for sustainable fisheries and aquaculture. MoFA has the Fisheries Commission (FC) and the National Premix Fuel Secretariat (NPFS) as its agencies.
  The core mandate of MOFA is to formulate and implement sector Policies and Strategies aimed at transforming the Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector to contribute more effectively to national development through science, technology, innovation and institutional capacity enforcement.
