Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) is the national electricity transmission company of Ghana. It was established in 2006 as a result of the Ghana Government Power Sector Reforms, when the transmission function was hived off from the Volta River Authority (VRA). GRIDCo's mandate is to provide open access, non-discriminatory, reliable, secure, and efficient electricity transmission services and wholesale market operations. The company manages Ghana's high-voltage electricity transmission network and connects generators to distribution utilities and large industrial customers across the country.
